Hello! My name is Miss Spark and I am SO excited to be apart of this amazing school family and to be your first grade teacher! This year is going to be so much fun and full of many learning adventures. I can’t wait to watch you grow throughout the year. I am looking forward to getting to know you but first, I’m going to tell you a few things about me!

I was born in Pennsylvania and moved around a lot as a child. My family and I also lived in California, Arkansas, and Texas. I moved out to Arizona to attend college at Northern Arizona University and earned my bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. After graduating in 2012, I participated in the Disney College Program and worked at the Paradise Pier Hotel in Disneyland. I then moved back to Arizona and worked for a Marriott property in Scottsdale.

Even though I received my first degree in business, I always had the dream to become a teacher. I decided to apply for a job with Grand Canyon University and became an academic advisor in the College of Education. While I worked full time for the university, I also pursued my master’s degree online. I completed my student teaching during the Spring 2016 semester and earned my master’s degree in April 2016 in elementary education!
