    About Mr. Panther

    Dear Parents and Students,

My name is David Panther. This is my 5th year teaching. I'm thrilled to be with a district that is so dear to my heart. I was born in Chandler and grew up in Ahwatukee. I attended Kyrene schools K-8. I went to Monte Vista Elementary K-5 and Altadena Middle School 6-8. I loved my Kyrene experience, which is why I am so happy to be back. I attended high school at Desert Vista and then switched to Pinnacle Education to finish my high school diploma. During my last year of high school, I got a job at the Kyrene School District working for Kyrene Kid’s Club. The job at Kyrene Kids Club was the reason I got into teaching. I spent 4 years at Kyrene Kid’s Club and was named Kyrene Kid’s Club Leader of the year. I did my first 2 years of my secondary education degree at Mesa Community College.

The next chapter of my life brought me to Northern Arizona University where I finished my degree in the spring of 2016. During my time at Northern Arizona University, I was part of the Future Teacher’s Club and was on the Future Teacher’s Club Board for a semester. I absolutely loved my experience at NAU. I was also a bus driver for the University. I have my Class B CDL and I drove the University's transit system. I did charters for the University as well. My favorite charter I regularly did was driving the NAU football team on game day to various locations. The best part was driving the team through Downtown Flagstaff with a police escort.

I completed my student teaching at Aprende Middle School in the Kyrene School District. I had the most amazing cooperating teacher, Mr. Furman. I am beyond lucky to have had Mr. Furman as a resource. I am honored to be here at Centennial Middle School as a teacher. I'm proud to get to teach in the community that I love and that I also call home. Looking forward to meeting you all!

    Sincerely,

    Mr. David Panther
