    About Mrs. (Manak) Jump

    Dear Parents and Students,

Greetings! My name is Rachel (Manak) Jump and I am SO excited to embark on this journey through 6th grade with you all. I will be your math teacher and look forward to creating a positive year with all of you!

A little bit about myself... I was born in a small town in Colorado. At a young age, I began to develop a love for the outdoors and a passion for science and math. I moved to Arizona during my Junior year in High School and after graduating, I attended Arizona State University and received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Prior to Centennial, I was in the Tucson Unified school district teaching 7th and 8th grade science. I love being outside and finding new activities that challenge my physical and my mental state! Trail running, mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking and yoga are some of my absolute favorite activities. I have an adorable lab retriever, Luna, and a pit-bull australian shephard mix named Chico who join me in outdoor adventures. I enjoy spending time reading and learning new things, naturally a nerd by trade! I am living my dream as an educator, however if I were to ever do something else, I would pursue working in a science field. Potentially a planetary geologist to adhere to my love of space AND geology or a marine biologist to go along with my love for the ocean!

Favorite Color: Green (but this also depends on my mood)
Favorite Animal: Whale Shark! (Anything in the ocean really.)
Favorite Sport:  Mountain Biking and Trail Running
Favorite Food: Anything Italian, shrimp enchilladas or burritos!
Favorite Books:  Harry Potter or The Lord of the Rings/Hobbit, Because of Winn Dixie
    College: ASU!

    ps: GO BRONCOS!
