I’d like to introduce myself. I have worked in the Kyrene District since 2000 and have taught at since 2007. Previously, I taught at Brisas for three years and worked at Cerritos where I taught two years and was an assistant in a preschool class for two years. Previous to Cerritos I substitute taught for 5 years where I had the opportunity to meet and work in a variety of classes and fell in love with the preschoolers and the preschool program.
I am a Phoenix native. I graduated from NAU with a Bachelor of Science in Education, a Major in Physical Education and a Minor in Health. I earned an Associate of Arts degree from Scottsdale Community College. I have attended various classes from Rio Salado and NAU to earn my Arizona Early Childhood Special Education Certification.
I grew up in Tempe, AZ, where I attended McClintock High School, McKemy Junior High, and Rural Elementary. I live in Ahwatukee and have resided there since 1987. I live with my two children, and our dog, Riely. My son, Matt, is 23 years old and my daughter, Jess, is 19 years old and is in her 2nd year at Mesa Community College. I enjoy spending time with my own children, playing sports, watching all of the Az sports teams, camping, scrapbooking, crochet, knitting, all kinds of crafts and just being outdoors.
