Dear Parents and Students,

I am happy and excited to be here at Estrella! Your child is a valued addition to our community of learners.I am dedicated to making this one of the most successful and positive years your child will experience.

I am a proud Arizona native that was born and raised in Prescott and have lived in the valley for the last 30+ years. I am married to a wonderful man, Paul, have two sons, three stepdaughters, two step-grandsons, a dog, a cat, and a goldfish! I love spending time with my family and friends, playing games, watching movies, shopping, traveling and camping! I also love to read for pleasure all genres of books and after a long busy day, nothing makes me happier than taking a long, hot bubble bath! Ahhhh! 

I graduated from Arizona State with a BA in Elementary Education and student-taught in 2nd grade at the elementary school I attended as a child in Prescott. I have taught Preschool, Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade! I received my M. Ed from the Northern Arizona University in 1994 and I continue taking college and district classes to keep me up-to-date on the best educational practices. I love teaching because I LOVE being with kids, they continue to keep me young and nurture the enthusiasm I have for life!

Our partnership is TRULY a relationship I treasure! I want you to know that home support and open communication are essential to your child’s academic success. My classroom door and my heart are open to you as parents as we share this year of your child’s life together. I look forward to us all having a positive, learning-filled and successful year!
