About Ms. Colombe
    green line

It is so wonderful to be here at CMS and in the Kyrene family. As a
student I attended Kyrene de la Paloma Elementary School and Kyrene del Pueblo Middle School. I recognize how imperative a quality education is for our students. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in as a student in the Kyrene School District and look forward to facilitating a wonderful opportunity for our students.
Ultimately my hope is that students not only develop a love for music but also learn the lifeskills of teamwork, responsibility, pride, and compassion. As a chorus program we will work together as a team during rehearsals, be responsible for our roles as members of a choir, take pride in our presentation of performances for friends, family, and community, and develop compassion for our fellow human through a safe and friendly classroom atmosphere.
I was privileged to attend Corona del Sol (Class of 2009) and go on to receive my Bachelor of Music Education from Northern Arizona University (May 2013). I also completed a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction through Grand Canyon University (August 2018).
Previously I spent the 2013-2014 school year in the Peoria Unified School District and have been with the Kyrene School District since July 2014, with the previous 5 years working at Kyrene Middle School. I have experience with private vocal instruction, vocal coaching, festival adjudication, and am a member of NAfME, ACE, ACDA, and AMEA. I am also privileged to be a certified classroom management trainer through the Center for Teacher Effectiveness, and have spoken at state and regional conferences regarding classroom management at all levels of education.
Please contact with me with any questions you may have about me our chorus program. You may contact me by phone at (480) 541-6584 or e-mail (which is most efficient) at ecolombe@kyrene.org.
