    About The Teacher
    purple line
My name is Jessa Wilson and I will be your First-grade teacher. I am excited to start the 2020-2021 school year and I look forward to working with each of you.
Let me tell you a bit about myself. I grew up in Tucson, Arizona. I received my bachelor degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Early Childhood, from Northern Arizona University. This is my 15th year teaching!
I have a nine-year-old named Brooklyn, a 4-year-old named Charlotte and I am married to Mr. Wilson. I have two dogs and love to take walks to the park with my family.
My philosophy on teaching is based on the belief that all children are capable of learning in their own way. In my class, each child is respected as an individual and therefore each child’s learning rate and style is honored and supported. I will provide a positive learning environment supporting each child’s achievements and self-esteem. I also believe the key to a successful learning environment is establishing a “family unit” which includes students, parents, families, and staff members here at Esperanza
I look forward to an exciting school year and getting to know you and your child. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
