About Miss George
I am so thrilled to be a part of the fantastic Kyrene del Norte Dual Language team this school year. With your help, we will create a safe and curriculum rich classroom full of eager learners. I will be sure to do my personal best to meet the specific needs of your child, and help him/her grow academically. I hope to make this year one that your child will remember forever!
The 2018-2019 school year will be my sixth year of certified teaching. I graduated from Arizona State University in May of 2013 with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. During my time at ASU, I completed a year long student teaching experience, coupled with a two year long professional teaching program. I continue to take professional development courses so that I may stay up to date with the best teaching practices for my classroom and students.
Outside of teaching, I have many interests. I love ballet, art, dogs, and nature. I also love cheerleading, and coach cheer at here at Norte, as well as Kyrene Aprende Middle School. I am also the mother to an 9 year old boy, Jaylen, who also attends the Dual Language Program. I also have a daughter, Anabelle, who is 4. When I am not working, I spend much of my time being active or playing with my kids. :)
In our classroom, we will be reading literature, working with manipulatives to solve mathematical problems, and collaborating with others each and every day. We will be completing investigations in all subject areas. We will work on setting goals, and learning to take risks in order to grow in our learning. We will actively work on being respectful, responsible, and safe.
With your support, all students are capable of meeting the first grade goals. Feel free to email, call, or send a note to school with any questions or concerns. I look forward to a wonderful school year with you and your child!
