The first day of school is Thursday, August 2, 2018

    Meet the Teacher Night
This is the night when your child will meet his/her teacher! You can also purchase PTO items, put money in your child’s lunch account, drop off school supplies, etc. There will also be a Community Education table. Please stop by and find out about programs for before/after school time.

    • Monday, July 30, Elementary Schools: Meet the Teacher Night from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Meet the Teacher Night for Kyrene Traditional Academy (K-8 School) is on Monday, July 30 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

    • Tuesday, July 31, Middle Schools: Meet the Teacher Night and Curriculum Night from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

    Curriculum Night
Middle school curriculum information will be presented on Meet the Teacher Night. (Some schools operate on a staggered schedule that evening.) Please check your school's website for grade level information.
Elementary parents should plan to attend their child’s Curriculum Night scheduled during the month of August. This is a brief but informative opportunity for parents to learn what their child will be mastering in math, English language arts, science, and social studies, as well as learn about classroom expectations and school/home communication.

    School Communications
To stay connected with your school and to ensure you receive the school newsletter, subscribe to eNEWS today. Families can choose to receive multiple messages from more than one school. Families can also follow Kyrene on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

If you're looking for an easy way to check lunch menus, ParentVue, or calendars, you can download the Kyrene App on your smartphone or mobile device. Search for "Kyrene Elementary School District" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. It's free!

    School Lunches
New for 2018-19! To reduce the fees parents pay for meals, Kyrene is using a new online system for school meal accounts. Prior to the school year, please visit www.k12paymentcenter.com and set up your account. Note: Previous balances have been rolled over already. As always, checks made payable to Kyrene School District and cash are always accepted at the school sites. K12PaymentCenter may be used to view your child's balance and meal purchases without making payments.

    Supply Lists
Basic grade level supply lists are now available. (Some school or classroom specific request may be provided on Meet the Teacher night.) We hope that having access to a general supply list now will give you the opportunity to take advantage of upcoming back-to-school sales.

    Bus Stops and Routes

    Immunization requirements
Arizona State law ARS 15-871-874 requires that a complete, up-to-date immunization record be furnished by the parent prior to enrolling a child in school.

Middle School Students 11 years of age and older are required to have one dose of Tdap vaccine if 5 years have passed since their last dose of tetanus/diphtheria containing vaccine. Most children had their last DPT when they were 5 years old, so most 11 year old children will be due for a booster.

Students 11 years of age and older are required to have one dose of Meningococcal vaccine (MV, MCV4, or Menactra).

These immunizations will be due by the first day of school, if your student will be 11 years old by that date.
