Summer Resources for Students
Students can access Kyrene educational resources and local public library summer reading programs using the Summer Resources
web page. Current Kyrene students (students who were enrolled in 2016-17) can also participate in the myON literacy environment
, a free summer reading resource using the student log-in and password used during the school year. You can also enroll your student in one of the District’s many Community Education programs
All middle school curriculum information will be presented on Meet the Teacher Night. (Some schools operate on a staged schedule that evening.) Please check your school's website for grade level information.
Elementary parents should plan to attend their child’s Curriculum Night scheduled during the beginning of the second week of school. This is a brief but informative opportunity for parents to learn what their child will be mastering in math, English language arts, science, and social studies, as well as learn about classroom expectations and school/home communication.
Basic grade level supply lists are now available. (Some school or classroom specific request may be provided on Meet the Teacher night.) We hope that having access to a general supply list now will give you the opportunity to take advantage of upcoming back-to-school sales.
If you’re looking for an easy way to check lunch menus, school and District news, Parent Vue or calendars, look no further than our app (software you can download in the “app store” on your smartphone or mobile device). Search for “Kyrene Elementary School District” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. It’s free!

Arizona State law ARS 15-871-874 requires that a complete, up-to-date immunization record be furnished by the parent prior to enrolling a child in school.
Middle School Students 11 years of age and older are required to have one dose of Tdap vaccine if 5 years have passed since their last dose of tetanus/diphtheria containing vaccine. Most children had their last DPT when they were 5 years old, so most 11 year old children will be due for a booster.
Students 11 years of age and older are required to have one dose of Meningococcal vaccine (MV, MCV4, or Menactra).
These immunizations will be due by the first day of school, if your student will be 11 years old by that date.
Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Please call 480-541-1000 with any questions.
