    Meet the Teacher Night
This is the night when your child will meet his/her teacher! You can also purchase PTO items, put money in your child’s lunch account, drop off school supplies, etc. There will also be a Community Education table. Please stop by and find out about programs for before/after school time.

    • Monday, July 29, Elementary Schools: Meet the Teacher Night from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Meet the Teacher Night for Kyrene Traditional Academy (K-8 School) is on Monday, July 30 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

    • Tuesday, July 30, Middle Schools: Meet the Teacher Night and Curriculum Night from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

    Curriculum Night
Middle school curriculum information will be presented on Meet the Teacher Night. (Some schools operate on a staggered schedule that evening.) Please check your school's website for grade level information.
Elementary parents should plan to attend their child’s Curriculum Night scheduled during the month of August. This is a brief but informative opportunity for parents to learn what their child will be mastering in math, English language arts, science, and social studies, as well as learn about classroom expectations and school/home communication.

    School Communications

Families will receive a school newsletter on a regular basis, which will highlight important events, dates, activities and achievements. Occasionally other materials and bulletins may be sent home with students. Most communication will be digital and will be sent to the primary email and phone number on file. Families can also follow Kyrene on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

If you're looking for an easy way to check lunch menus, ParentVue, or calendars, you can download the Kyrene App on your smartphone or mobile device. Search for "Kyrene Elementary School District" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. It's free!

    School Lunches
To reduce the fees parents pay for meals, Kyrene is using a new online system for school meal accounts. Prior to the school year, please visit www.k12paymentcenter.com and set up your account. Note: Previous balances have been rolled over already. As always, checks made payable to Kyrene School District and cash are always accepted at the school sites. K12PaymentCenter may be used to view your child's balance and meal purchases without making payments.
Parents/Guardians can apply online at Lunchapplication.com by mid-July to get meal assistance in place before school begins.  Paper meal applications are sent home on the first day of school with all students.  A Spanish version of the meal application is available in the school office.   Please look for the notification letter to be emailed back from noreplies@mealsplus.com – School Nutrition Department.

    Supply Lists
Basic grade level supply lists are available. (Some school-specific or classroom-specific requests may be provided on Meet the Teacher night.)

    Bus Stops and Routes
Bus routes and stops do change from year to year. Please visit Kyrene's Transportation page for the most current information.

    Immunization requirements
Arizona State law ARS 15-871-874 requires that a complete, up-to-date immunization record be furnished by the parent prior to enrolling a child in school.

Middle School Students 11 years of age and older are required to have one dose of Tdap vaccine if 5 years have passed since their last dose of tetanus/diphtheria containing vaccine. Most children had their last DPT when they were 5 years old, so most 11 year old children will be due for a booster.

Students 11 years of age and older are required to have one dose of Meningococcal vaccine (MV, MCV4, or Menactra).

These immunizations will be due by the first day of school, if your student will be 11 years old by that date.
