• About Mrs. Jamer

Welcome to the Academic Intervention site. My name is Mrs. Lori Jamer and I am the Academic Interventionist for Kyrene de la Mirada, for Kindergarten to 5th grade for English Language arts and mathematics. I support students who need support in their learning. I work with small groups of students 4 times a week to help them at a slower pace.

I am originally from Piscataway, New Jersey and moved to Arizona in 1988. My husband, Tom, and I have a daughter, Randi, and my son, Travis, who live in Chandler.

I earned a B.A. in Elementary Education from A.S.U. I am continually learning and taking professional development classes to keep up with the new information and technology to help students in their areas of need. I have an English-as-a-second Language endorsement so I can meet the needs of diverse cultures and students in Kyrene.

I try to instill the love of learning into my students. Learning takes place when the students are engaged and can relate to what they are learning. It is my goal to help students understand and connect to their learning to the real world.
