    Dear Parents:

Welcome to Fourth Grade and the 2020-2021 school year!   This is such an exciting time of year for your child, as well as for me.  I am thrilled to be starting my fourteenth year with Kyrene School District, and my seventh year as a Fourth Grade teacher! I can honestly say there is no place I would rather be!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.  I am originally from Schenectady, New York, but have lived in Arizona for many years. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Logistics Management from Arizona State University. After working for Motorola,  I decided to return to school to earn my teacher certification in Elementary Education.
I have a wonderful husband of 32 years and three beautiful children—one a second year medical student at Midwestern University, one a recent graduate of ASU,  and one a freshman at CGCC.   I have a very busy grandson, Aaron Jacob, who is 5 years old.
I have lived in Ahwatukee for over 20 years. I love to spend time with my family, cook, scrapbook and play games.
During the school year, your child and I will be spending many hours together.  I want your child to look forward to coming to school and to always feel a part of our classroom community.  My goal as a teacher is to help each child grow to his or her potential, both academically and personally.
My commitment to you is that I will always have your child's best interest in mind and keep you informed about our classroom/online learning and your child's academic growth.
I believe education is a three-way commitment between students, teachers, and parents.  Making this a successful year for your child is our joint effort.  I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child this school year.  Please feel free to contact me anytime with any questions or concerns you may have.  Together we will make this a rewarding, successful year for your child!
