    About The Teacher
    purple line

    Dear Parents and Students,

I am very eager to begin the 2020-2021 school year hear at Esperanza! Your child is a valued addition to our community of learners, cooperating and collaborating with his or her peers, and I am dedicated to making this one of the most successful and positive years your child will experience.

A few of my hobbies include scrapbooking, exercising, hiking, watching movies and spending time with my family. I have three children. One of my sons is in the Army. My  other son attends ASU.. My daughter has three children making me a grandma.

Professionally, this will be my 13th year teaching. I have taught Kinder Kid - kindergarten, first, second, second grade and fourth grade! I graduated with my BA from Grand Canyon University. Taking college and district classes keep me up-to-date on the best educational practices. I love learning just as much as I love teaching!

Our classroom will be filled with child-centered inquiries where each student can reach their potential. Meaningful learning which actively engages the students is essential for learning to occur. We will work on individual goals, respect, and to be risk-takers in our learning environment. Our classroom community will promote a safe atmosphere to ensure that all students have a strong self-worth.

Together, we can help your child have a successful Kindergarten year. I look forward to a strong partnership!

    Sincerely,

    Cheryl Chance
