Hello!

My name is Kiirsten Kamrath. I’m excited and honored to be your child’s second grade teacher. I realize what a gift it is for you to share your kiddo with me each and every day! Thank you for entrusting me with your most precious gift.

My passion for teaching and leading small people began when I attended Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. As a “Pioneer” I received my undergraduate in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Adaptive Education. Later, I earned my Masters in Elementary Education through NAU.

Over the last 16 years of teaching, the “lightbulb moment” of achievement never gets old and is by far my favorite part in a given school day. I have high expectations and believe my students can achieve anything if they put their mind to it! I am especially passionate about my role in instilling a love of learning in my eager and genuine second grade students. I know what an important job I have in setting a positive stage for learning. I believe that building self-confidence in each learner as they come to discover their strengths and abilities will empower students to preserver and thrive in times of struggle and adversity.

On a personal note, I am married to my amazing husband Dan and I am doubly blessed to have a fun, loving and adorable stepson! As a family we often enjoy our time fishing, watching movies, playing outside or just snuggling with our quirky and curly-tailed pug, Boomer!
