    About Mrs. Manchester

Welcome to fifth grade! I am excited to start the year!  My name is Sarah Manchester and I am thrilled to continue teaching at Kyrene de la Esperanza as a fifth grade teacher.  I was born and raised in Arizona and I have graduated from ASU with a degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Literacy Education. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Teaching and Innovation through ASU.

I am proud to be a part of a community that genuinely fosters learning and achievement in order to help students reach their highest potential.  I share Esperanza’s mission of creating an engaging and welcoming learning environment for students to flourish.

I became a teacher because I am passionate about education and the opportunities it can make available to students.  When I am in the classroom, I am in my element.  I strive to instill the love of learning in my students in hopes that it will carry them to a successful future and appreciation for education.  Outside of school, I am a Broncos fan and an avid runner.  I love the outdoors and surrounding my self with friends and family.  I am privileged to be a part of the Esperanza family.  I am excited to get to know all of you as we venture into fifth grade together.
