About Mr. Colson
Dear Parents and Students,
I am dedicated to educating your child on the importance of learning and maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle.
I grew up in Weirton, WV. I have been married for four years to my beautiful wife, Stephanie. I have three miniature daschunds named Dasher (3), Blitzen (1), and Vixen (3 mos) and two cats named Lily (5) and Ebby (2). Some of my hobbies include; weight lifting, hanging out with my wife, and computers.
I attained a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management at Winthrop University in 2003. I also am attaining my Master's Degree in Physical Education at Arizona State University in 2013.
In college, I played baseball for Winthrop University and recently was inducted into the Big South Conference Hall of Fame (Class of 2012). In 2001, I was selected in the seventh round by the Toronto Blue Jays in the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft. I played for three seasons in the Toronto farm system as a pitcher, before suffering a permanent shoulder injury. From 2005-2009, I played as a first-basemen for a variety of independent teams, which included the Gary Southshore Railcats, Calgary Vipers, St. Paul Saints, Brockton Rox, Schaumburg Flyers, and Sioux City Explorers.
