    About The Teacher

    Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I feel so blessed to be a teacher here at Kyrene de la Colina, and be a part of such an amazing community! This is my 14th year in the Kyrene School District- twelve years teaching special education and two years teaching 2nd grade.  Previously, I worked for five years at a center for students with dyslexia and other language and learning difficulties.

My husband, Dave, is in his 26th year of teaching P.E. in Kyrene.  We have two children, a 10 year-old daughter, Gia, and a 6 year-old son, Dane.

I was born and raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  All of my family still resides in the Midwest.  I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with an Elementary and Special Education degree.
Besides teaching, my other passions include spending time with my family and friends,  watching football and cheering on my Huskers (GO BIG RED!!), hiking near our home in Ahwatukee, and practicing hot yoga.

I truly look forward to working with all of my students and families to make this the most successful school year yet!

    Sincerely,

    Alison Moser
