About Mrs. Warren
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! This is going to be one that we talk about for years to come! This year is my 30th year in the district! I taught for 24 years at Kyrene del Norte, and it is my 6th year at Milenio. This is also my last year of teaching, as I'm retiring after this year. I've heard that this is a wonderful group of students to end my teaching career with!
I am originally from Montana. I grew up on a ranch there, and am from a large family, with six brothers and one sister. After graduating from Montana State University in 1981, I moved to Arizona to begin my teaching career in Bullhead City. I was only going to stay in Arizona for a couple years, but I met my future husband there, and here I am all these years later! My husband, Kevin, and I were married in Bullhead City in 1984. I taught in BHC for 7 years, and we lived in both Bullhead City and Kingman until my husband, who is a commercial loan officer, was transferred to Phoenix in 1989. I began teaching for the Kyrene District in 1991 and have taught both 4th and 5th grade.
I have two children, Allison and Brett. They both
attended Kyrene de las Lomas Elementary School, Centennial Middle School, and Mountain Pointe High School. Allison graduated from the University of Arizona in 2008 with a Journalism/Dance degree, and Brett graduated from Arizona State University in 2011 with a Economics degree and from NAU in December, 2015, with an Accounting degree, so we are a house divided when it comes to anything sports related! I also have a master's degree in education from NAU, so we have done a great job of supporting all of the state colleges! Allison is a dance teacher and is also the mom of my grandchildren, Andrew, born on Thanksgiving Day 2015,and Emily, born January 8, 2018. I love being a Nana! Brett worked in the golf industry for several years, and now works for a local accounting firm.
I am very excited to be your child's teacher, and I'm looking forward to this exciting year in 5th grade at Milenio!
