Do all families have a ParentVUE account? How do I get my Activation Key?
All families of a current, or previously enrolled, student in Kyrene have a parent account. If your account has not been activated, a code is required. Contact your school's front office to obtain an activation key.
-
I logged in last year. What user name and password do I use this year?
You use the same user name and password as you used last year. The system will automatically take you to this year's classes and grade book.
-
I logged-in last year, but now I don't remember my user name and password. What do I do?
If you have misplaced your user name or password, select “Forgot your password” link on the bottom of the ParentVUE log-in page. Use the email address that you established as your “primary e-mail address” when you set up your user account. If you get “Unable to send email: Email address not found,” please contact your child's school office.
-
I received an Activation Key last year, but never used it. Can I use it now?
No. Unused Activation Keys expire as a security measure. Parents who need an Activation Key should contact your school's front office.
-
Should I receive a separate Activation Key for each of my children?
There should be one Activation Key for all children in the family. If you receive separate Activation Keys for each child then please send an email to sis@kyrene.org and include the children’s names, your name, your current address and phone number, and your relationship to the students. We will then work with you to combine the student records and ensure that the most current information is in the parent record. Then when you log-in, you will see information on all of you children.
-
How do I change my password?
After you have activated your account you may change your password on the My Account tab. On the far right-hand side under your name and date, select the option: To change your password click here: Change Password. Reminder: Always record passwords in a secure place.
-
How do I make changes to the information on My Account tab?
You can update information on the My Account tab by logging into the Online Registration Portal.
-
Why does my student show as absent when they were at school but on a field trip?
The system (in middle school only) will show your student as absent for the periods missed due to a field trip. However this does not affect your student's permanent attendance record for the day. If you log into the system and click on the absence in question, you will see that it shows your student is recorded as being on a field trip - not actually absent from school.
-
Is there a setting for me to select to receive email notification of when my child is absent or tardy?
Yes, this is a user-option that must be selected by individuals. Log into your account and navigate to the My Account tab. Place a check in the box that says "Attendance" in the Auto Notify section and click the Update button at the top of the page. You will now receive an email notification each time your student is absent or tardy. If you no longer wish to receive these emails simply return to this location and remove the check from this box and click the update button. (Note: emails are sent once per day in the evening.)
-
The attendance for my child is incorrect. What should I do?
Contact your child's school office to address attendance items.
-
Which classroom teachers are posting grades?
All classroom teachers in grades 4-8 are posting grades. Families are asked to reach out with their chid's teacher with questions about grades.
-
I have a question about an assignment that is posted. What should I do?
Families are asked to reach out with their chid's teacher with questions about assignments and grades.
-
Why do some teachers have more grades than others?
Teachers, based on the subject areas or grade level that they teach, may have a different number of assignments. Some classes lend themselves to daily or periodic assessments, while others might include long-term projects.
