    About Mrs. Tsangaris
line My name is Mrs. Stacie Tsangaris.  I am the Structured English Immersion Coach for Monte Vista and Mariposa.  Prior to this position of four years, I was an ELL teacher for one year and have taught 6 years of 2nd and 3rd grade, and 4 years of Special Education.  I am very proud to be an educator in the Kyrene School District.

I received my BA in Special Education and Elementary Education through Western Washington
University in Bellingham, WA.  My Mastersis in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University.  I am continuing my education to learn moreabout teaching English Language Learners. I am a life long learner!

I became a teacher 15 years ago because I have a strong belief that all children can learn at high achievement levels, and I care deeply about educating students to be the best they can be!  It's important to me that students enjoy coming to school and they feel valued and challenged.

As the SEI Coach, my job is to support both students and mainstream classroom teachers to help increase their English Language proficiency while learning the academic content.  I am responsible for administering the AZELLA test, supporting students and students, and to monitor the progress of our current English Language Learners (ELLs).  I spend some time in the classrooms co-teaching/ modeling for teachers and working with ELL students.  I also manage all of the paperwork at each of my schools for the ELL students.

Outside of school, being a mom is my primary job.  I spend my time chasing a 5 year old boy and a 3 year old daughter around!  They light up my life!  I am also the mom to a English bulldog, Brutus, and a cocker spaniel, Kaylee.  I enjoy working out, running, traveling, scrapbooking, skiing, exercising, and spending time outdoors with my family.
