About The Teacher
Dear Parents and Students,
I am very exicted to begin the 2019-2020 school year here at Kyrene Traditional Academy! Your child is a valued addition to our community of learners. I am dedicated to making this a successful and positive year for all students.
I have three children. My youngest is beginning her junior year at Corona del Sol. We share our home with our bearded dragon and our dogs, Benny and Kipper. We also have a spunky mischief of rats. I enjoy reading, listening to music, and hiking.
I have been employed in the Kyrene School District since 2005. I have worked for Community Education in various roles. I graduated with my BA from Ottawa University, completed my student teaching here at KTA, and began teaching Kindergarten at KTA in the Spring of 2011. I completed my masters program in Early Childhood Education at Northern Arizona University. I continue learning in various workshops and district classes. It keeps me up-to-date on the best educational practices. I love learning just as much as I love teaching!
Our classroom will be centered around Spalding and rigorous math instructional methods, where each student will reach their potential. Meaningful instruction which engages the students is essential for learning to occur. We will work on school, as well as individual goals each day. Respect, responsibility, and a safe educational environment are key elements to a productive school atmosphere. Our classroom community will promote these attributes to ensure that all students have a strong self worth.
Together, we can support your child in a successful Kindergarten year. I look forward to strong partnership!
Ms. Stephanie Casper, M.Ed.
