Dear Parents and Students:
Welcome to Sixth Grade and your new school – Kyrene Middle School- home of the Scorpions! It’s going to be a fantastic year filled with new friends, new teachers and many new learning experiences. It appears that I have five excellent classes of students that are anxious to begin their journey into Middle School. Now let me share a little information about me – their new Science teacher.
I am a graduate from Arizona State University. I graduated in 2012 with my Masters in Natural Science:STEM Education. Prior to teaching I spent several years volunteering in the Kyrene School District. I enjoy teaching in an excelling school and district. I was born in San Diego California, and have spent the last 25 years making Arizona my home.
I have been married for 9 years, so some of you may know me as Ms. Juhlin from having taught siblings of this year’s 6th graders. March 18th, 2012 my husband I were blessed with our first child! Christian is an energetic and healthy 7 year old. January, 3rd, 2015 we welcomed our second son, Carter into the world. Carter is the happiest kid around and enjoys being silly. When I have spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and traveling to various places.
As we begin the school year, please know that the students in my classes are extremely important to me and I will always strive to provide a positive and stimulating learning environment. I like to combine a hands-on, structured classroom with a fun sense of humor. I truly believe communication, patience, understanding, challenge, and success are vital for every child.
I am sending home information regarding the Science Curriculum and the rules and procedures of my class. These things are also available on my webpage. Please be sure to read the Agenda Book thoroughly with your child so he/she will understand the procedures of Kyrene Middle School. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or email me.
Looking Forward to a Great Year of Learning and my 10th year of teaching!
