Sportsmanship

The Akimel A-al Community is very proud of our athletic program and our student athletes. Good Sportsmanship is one of the goals of the Tempe/Kyrene Athletic Conference and is valued as part of the middle school athletic program.

Parents, guardians, students and other fans can assist our athletes by honoring and modeling the rules of good sportsmanship.

At Akimel A-al we show respect for officials and opposing players, cheerleaders, coaches, and fans by:

  • refraining from making negative comments, gestures, or booing
  • allowing only players and coaches in the dugout or bench area during the game
  • remaining seated during game play
  • clapping and cheering

    • Fans who do not show good sportsmanship or who do not follow school rules will be asked to leave the athletic event.
