About Mrs. Fahey

My name is Sarah Fahey and I'm a native of Arizona.  I grew up and went to school in Mesa.  I graduated from Arizona State University in 1995 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.  I finished my Master's Degree in Education Leadership through Northern Arizona University in 1999.

I have been teaching for fourteen years.   Teaching First Grade at Waggoner is really a treat. I have also taught Second Grade and Third Grade.  I really enjoy working with young children.  Being a teacher is like starting a new job every August.  I enjoy the relationships I form with students and families each year.

I live in Gilbert with my wonderful husband, Vince, our two children, Mallory, age 9, and Ryan, age 6, and our pug dog Madison.  Spending time with my children and husband is the most important thing in my life.  I also like to read, swim, go to movies, and spend time with friends and family.

Our Class

We have a wonderful group of first graders who are excited each day they come to school.  We have 11 boys and 12 girls in our class.  We enjoy reading groups, learning stations, math, spelling, Star of the Week, special classes, author celebrations, integrated technology lessons, and more every week!
