Book Mobile
The Akimel A-al Book Mobile sets up outside the newsroom every Friday. Parent volunteers help the students choose and check out books for class projects, as well as recreational reading. Students, who visit the Book Mobile four weeks in a row, earn a front of the line pass. In an average week the Book Mobile checks about 200 books – that is almost seven classes of students who have a book to read!!! This year, we have a wireless laptop to use for Book Mobile checkout. Can you imagine it? The book Mobile is even more MOBILE!!!
