Welcome to the 2009-2010 School Year

The mere presence of the arts in the Kyrene School District indicates education committed to excellence.  School districts that perform at the highest level include art in their curriculum.  It is an integral part of education at Cielo which enable students to recognize the value of art in society.  Specific strategies, art activities, and materials are developed to tailor the program to the needs of the individual and the culture of our school.  Studies verify that arts education improves student attendance, academic performance, teamwork, logical thinking, innovation, and problem solving.  Art develops vision, both physical and conceptual, integrates knowledge, extends thinking, and creates standards of excellence.
