This report will require you to produce a timeline that reflects the events in your book.
At the beginning the timeline, you must have a paragraph about the setting and a  picture that matches your description.  You must also include a paragraph about the main character including who the character is and any interesting facts about that character.  Make sure your description of the character is backed by an example from the book.

Suggested materials you could use:

a long strip of mural paper or computer paper
the computer
ruler
markers, colored pencils, or crayons
pen or marker for writing
other colored paper to jazz the timeline up

Directions for completing the timeline:

While reading the book, mark the pages where the most important events occur
Starting at the left side of the strip of paper, write your name, the title, and author of the book
Next along the timeline will come your description of the setting and then the description of your character
Decide on a scale appropriate to your story and use it for the entire timeline to show the passage of time.  Examples:  20 centimeters = 1 year if the story spans several years, or 20 centimeters = 1 day if the book takes place over a shorter time period
Draw a line down the middle of the paper in a horizontal direction.  Mark the important events on the line with big dots.  Under each dot write the time and a description of the event
A minimum of 10 events is required for a top grade.  Be sure to include events from the beginning, middle, and end of the book
Above each dot an illustration of the scene should be neatly drawn with color.  Visual appeal is important.  Be creative
At the end of the timeline, you must use your events to summarize the book.  Make sure you address the who, what, where, when, and why of the story, showing progression from the beginning of the story to the end - be creative in your display of your summary
