Constructing the Basic Pop - Up book
| Fold a piece of construction paper in half. Make a cut one-third of the way from one edge on the folded side of the paper towards the unfolded side. Make a second cut one-third of the way from the other edge on the folded side of the paper in the same direction as the first cut. Make sure your two cuts are the same length. | |
| NOTE: The longer the cut, the larger the pop-up section. If you make the pop-up section too large, it will stick out of the book. | |
| Open the folded paper and pull the cut out section out and re-fold the paper so that when you open your paper, you should have a pop-out section | |
| Create as many of these pages as you need | |
| Glue the pages together so they form a book | |
| You may include additional pop-ups or three dimensional parts on each page if you wish |
