I am so excited for this fourth
grade year and for all that is in store for your child! My name is Michelle
Mandola and I am originally from Houston, TX. I have been living in
Phoenix for about 14 years. I went through middle school in
the Kyrene School District, and went on to Mountain Pointe High
School.
After high school, I graduated from Arizona State
University in the spring of 2005, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelor's
Degree in Elementary Education.
I did my student teaching in the
fourth grade at Cerritos, and am now in my fifth year as a fourth
grade teacher here at Cerritos Elementary.
Besides teaching at Cerritos, I
am the 7th grade girls volleyball coach at Altadena. I enjoy
coaching as much as I enjoy playing the sport.
My favorite thing to do is
snuggle up with a good book to read and I hope to instill that love
of reading into your children throughout the year. I am an avid
movie watcher and I love to take road trips.
I am normally most proud of
talking about my two sisters, Lauren (I will keep her age to myself
so my OLDER sister doesn't get mad) and Mackenzie who is 10 (a 5th
grader at St. John Bosco). However, last September, little Olivia Michelle
was born to my sister and brother in law, and I am so proud of being an aunt for
the first time.
I look forward to getting to know
you all and having a wonderful year!
