My mission is to provide a nurturing learning climate that fosters a sense of belonging, mutual respect, and unconditional acceptance that meets each student's learning needs.

About Mrs. Lukosus

Welcome to second grade!  I am very fortunate to have been teaching at Mariposa since 1992.  I taught kindergarten my first year at Mariposa and have been teaching second grade since then.  I also have experience teaching third grade.

Second graders are at a wonderful stage in their development as children and as students.  I enjoy teaching second graders and seeing them grow emotionally, socially, and intellectually.

Homework Policy

Homework Folders will be sent home Monday through Thursday and need to be returned to school the following day.

On Monday I will assign the homework for each day of the current week.  A parent or an adult must verify that the homework was completed by signing  within the correct date  square.

Your child may complete the homework  on the evenings that work best for your family.   All homework for the week must be completed no later than Thursday evening and the date squares signed.  If there are any date squares not signed when I check the folders on Friday morning, the homework for the week will be considered incomplete.
