About Ms. Figueroa!

My name is Lilanii Figueroa and I am very excited to be the music teacher at Kyrene del Sureño Elementary school. This is my third year of teaching and so far it has been a blast!

I am a native to Arizona and have lived in this area all of my life. As a child I went to Kyrene del Cielo, then Pueblo Middle School, followed by Corona Del Sol High School. It was there that I developed a great interest in music and went on to Arizona State University to pursue a Bachelors degree in Choral-General Music Education.

In my spare time.. the very little that I have.. I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I have four nephews and one niece, whom I absolutely adore! I always look forward to the times that I can play with them and take them to fun "kid" places. 

I also enjoy being a member of a choir that sings weekly which helps me to keep my singing voice in shape. Then again... I am always singing along with the radio which helps out as well! Overall, I love music in all aspect of my life.
