Phonemic Awareness
The goal of Phonemic Awareness Centers is to help students to continue to develop their awareness that words are composed of individual sounds, or phonemes, and to develop their ability to manipulate sounds in words.

Phonics
The goal of Phonics centers should be to help students develop and practice their skills in Decode words, using knowledge of phonics, syllabication, and word parts.
Fluency
The goal of Fluency Centers is to provide students with the opportunity to practice reading text quickly, accurately, and with proper expression.
Vocabulary

The goal of Vocabulary Centers is to help students acquire and use new vocabulary in relevant contexts.
Comprehension
The goal of Comprehension Centers is to  provide opportunities for students to practice specific strategies to use for understanding text as they are reading.
