Color Books
     

First graders learned how to mix colors using the primary colors.   Color swatches were made for each of the twelve colors on the standard color wheel. 

Students cut their swatches, identified the color, and wrote the color name on the back of each sample. These were then organized into envelopes, checking off each color made.

Students cut smaller swatches and arranged them into their personal color books, labeling them with proper vocabulary.
