I have been teaching art in the Kyrene School District for fifteen years!  2007-2008 will be my eighth year  teaching at Mariposa, with a total of twenty-three years experience teaching art.   I have a B.A. in Art Education from Arizona State University and a M.A. in Supervision and Administration. 

My husband and I live in the Mariposa neighborhood with our adorable Lhasa Apso, Hobbes.  My hobbies include painting furniture, decorating, reading, spinning, and traveling . 

 I am a mixed media artist, enjoying Book Arts, Assemblage, and Collage.  My artwork has appeared in several magazine and book publications.   I also serve as an adjunct faculty member to University of Phoenix, teaching Art Education courses. 

The Mariposa school community is filled with super talented students.  It is with great joy and pride that I teach the children of Mariposa the value of creativity and the language of art. The student galleries on this website are a very small sample of the beautiful art that is produced in our art studio.
