7C Classroom Rules!

1.     Be responsible: be prepared for class; be in your seat with homework finished.  Make sure you have your notebook, workbook, paper, and pencil(s). Start warm-up activity immediately.  If you are not in the classroom when the bell rings you are tardy.  3 tardies in a quarter will result in lunch detentions.

2.     Raise your hand if you have something to say.  Wait for the teacher to call on you before you speak.  Raise your hand after the teacher is finished speaking.

3.     Be respectful of other students in the class.  Allow them to finish their statements.  Do not tell other students to shut up or call them stupid. No put downs

4.     Listen to instructions carefully.  Write down all notes even if you don’t think you need them.  Keep your notes, you may be allowed to use them on tests.

5.     Stay in your seat during the class period.  If you need to sharpen your pencil, throw something out, etc, you need to raise your hand and ask before you go.

“Bad things happen when you’re out of your seat.”

6.     If it isn’t yours don’t touch it.  Do not take things off the teacher’s desk, shelves, or cabinets.  Do not take things out of or take other student’s backpacks, or property.

7.     Restroom: if you have to go, raise your hand (don’t disturb a lesson) fill in the sign-out sheet completely, and take the pass.  Students who do not follow these procedures will not be  allowed to use the restroom during the period.  Students will be limited to the amount of times in a quarter they can go to the restroom.  Whenever possible go to the restroom in between classes.  If you do go to the restroom during passing period  without asking  your next teacher, and you do not make it to class before the bell, you are tardy.

8.     Absolutely NO cell phones, Ipods, MP3’s, or electronic devices can be out or in use during school hours.  Using these items during class will result in the device being taken and sent to the office.  Toys and other non-school related items fit into this category.

9.     Only school appropriate language is used at all times.  Many words you may think are okay may be considered inappropriate by the teacher

10.                         NO! means NO! (don’t keep asking)

11.                         No eating, drinking (except water), or gum chewing in class!
