ALL ABOUT ME My name is Connie N. Allen and I am honored to be the full-time Physical Education teacher at Mariposa. Arizona State University is where I received my Bachelor's of Arts in Physical Education. I then went on to receive a Master's in Education in Counseling. I am extremely proud to be teaching for over two decades in the Kyrene School District. I have coached a variety of sport activities such as: soccer, jump rope team, conditioning classes, gymnastics and softball. My family consists of my husband, Chuck, and our three children: Chelsey, Cassidy, and Charlie. Yes, we are the "C" family. We enjoy many sports together including: ice hockey, figure skating, gymnastics, boating and boating and taking trips to South Dakata and Philadelphia to visit grandparents. I am committed to motivate your child as we strive to meet the district and state goals. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. |
MARIPOSA P.E. PHILOSOPHY Our Philosophy in teaching elementary physical education includes a belief that ALL children have the ability to develop skills, knowledge and attitudes that will enable them to develop a healthy lifestyle today and for the future. We will teach our students a wide variety of physical skill that will send them on their journey to a lifetime of physical fitness and well being.
Many of the units allow each child to go at their own pace which develops skills at their own rate of success. The skills are taught sequentially, simple to complex. Everyone in our classrooms are winners by being a team player and a good sport in the many activities they experience.
IF YOU HAD FUN, YOU WON!
