About Mr. Maybe

Howdy! I'm Mr. Maybe, well actually, it's Mr. Noyes (pronounced "noise"), but sometime around 3rd grade or so my friends realized that my last name was a combination of "No" and "yes", hence I've been called "Maybe" ever since. It beats getting called something else!
I've been working in the Kyrene School district since 2001, initially as a Guest teacher, but finally as a full-time Math and Science teacher in 2004-2005 school year at Akimel A-al Middle School. I have a Secondary Education Teaching Certificate with an Approved Area of Mathematics from the state of Arizona and am also Highly Qualified in both Math and Science.
I came into teaching after first working as an Aerospace Engineer when my career began in 1984. Immediately after graduating from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, I moved away from my life-long home of New York state (I was born in "da Bronx" and LOVE the Yankees) and moved to the "far and distant land" of Phoenix, Arizona. Aside from a 3½-year stint in the Atlanta, Georgia area between 1991 and 1995, I've been here ever since (and loving it!)
Upon returning to my adopted home in the Valley of the Sun, I earned Dual Master's degrees from Arizona State University -- A Master in Business Administration, and a Master of Science in Information Management, in 1997. I worked as a Business and Information Technology Consultant until deciding to become a teacher.
My wife and I have a daughter, Adrienne, who attends Kyrene del Cielo Elementary.
