We are working in our place value unit. Some skills we will cover this week are:

-reading and writing whole numbers to the hundred billions in standard and expanded form

-comparing and ordering whole numbers to the hundred billions

-rounding whole numbers to the given place value

LANGUAGE ARTS- We are learning the critical story elements:

plot, setting, characters, rising action, theme, climax, conflict, and resolution

We are applying these skills while reading Joey Pigza Swallowed the Key by Jack Gantos . We are constructing Mini Main Idea Books utilizing these story elements.
