Introducing the Resource Instructional Assistant Staff

Karol Pacheco

Ms. Karol has worked at Cerritos with many Resource students.  She is married and has one child who currently attends Cerritos and one at Altadena.  She works in many classrooms this year..  Her favorite food is chocolate, and she loves to draw and play her guitar.  She hopes to one day write and illustrate children's books.  She already has one in the works!  We are so happy to have Ms. Karol as a member of the resource team.

Robin Rowe

Ms. Robin came to us two years ago with a student from Estrella Elementary.  She has stayed on our staff and is working in kindergarten year with a students and their teacher.  Ms. Robin also loves chocolate.  She is married and has three daughters.  One of them teaches first grade at Cerritos, Ms. Lindsay Rowe.  We are proud to have the mother/daughter team on our staff this year, and thankful to Robin for all she contributes to the resource department and the kids!

Amy Whiteley

Mrs. Whiteley began working in Resource last year on a part time basis.  She worked in Resource at Monte Vista prior to coming to Cerritos.  She often substitute teaches at Cerritos.  She has three boys and a wonderful husband.  She likes to spend time with family and friends, run, do step aerobics with Ms. O'Leary.  She shares the department's love for chocolate! 

Cathy Smith

Cathy Smith is the mother of three children who attend Cerritos Elementary School.  She has been working in Resource for two years now.  She is from Chicago and lives here with her husband and family.  She works in the GIFTED department also.  She is a wonderful baker and loves to bake the department banana bread and cake!
