JulieAnne Weissberg
Hello Waggoner Families! My name is JulieAnne Weissberg and I am the full-time music teacher at Waggoner. I am thrilled to be here and I can honestly say that teaching elementary music is my passion! Before coming to Waggoner, I had taught for three years in the Tempe Elementary School District. I am originally from Omaha, Nebraska, but after getting my Bachelors Degree and husband from The Ohio State University, I truly feel like a Buckeye at heart. Currently, I am in the process of getting a Masters Degree in Music Education from ASU. I am also Level 1 and Level 2 Orff certified. My husband Sam is the Orchestra Director at Kyrene Middle School, and I am so happy to be working next door to him. Outside of school I like to sing, cook, read, practice my piano and guitar skills, and pay attention to my beautiful golden retriever, Cooper.
My ultimate goal as a music teacher is to inspire the joy of music in children, and I look forward to doing that for the children at Waggoner.

I keep very busy by teaching at Waggoner and Kyrene de la Cielo Elementary Schools. I will be teaching at Waggoner on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and at Cielo on Mondays and Thursdays. This year I will be teaching 3rd and 4th grades.
I have been married to my husband Dean for 26 years. We have 2 children, Erica, who is an ASU graduate, and Sarah, who is in college. In my spare time I like to exercise, read, and spend time with friends and family.
