About Mrs. Gardetto

Hi!  My name is Lynne Gardetto and I teach half-day kindergarten.  This is my fourteenth year in the Kyrene School District.

Our Class

I have seventeen wonderful kindergartners in our classroom.  We have a lot of energy and enthusiasm to learn.  Some of the highlights of our first quarter in school has been visits  from Zero the Hero, our Teddy Bear Picnic, The Magic Green Ball Day and Chocolate Day.  We will be celebrating Johnny Appleseed's birthday by making homemade applesauce in the classroom.  Zero the Hero is a special friend to our classroom and visits us every 10th day of school with a special treat or snack that looks like a zero since that's his favorite number.  He has a special day planned for the 50th and 100th day of school.  We will be celebrating the 50th day of school by dressing up in fifties outfits, engaging in math activities and having a sock hop and hula hoops for everyone to enjoy.  That will be coming up in October.

Beach Buddy of the Week

Each week a student in the classroom is recognized to be the Beach Buddy of the Week.  The student works on a poster about themselves, family and their  favorite things.  We read their favorite book and develop a class graph from their survey question they come up with.   On Friday they bring a favorite snack to share with the class.
