Dear Waggoner Families,

Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year. Our annual Meet the Teacher event will take place on Thursday, August 6, from 5:30-7:00. During this time students will have an opportunity to meet their teacher, as well as receive important information about the start of the school. This year parents will be informed of their child’s class placement at our Meet the Teacher event. Please stop by one of our stations in the Reading Area between 5:00 and 5:30 to learn who your child’s teacher will be for this school year. Each Kyrene School was asked to wait until this evening to share teacher information with parents, in case of any last minute changes in staffing assignments. This is an exciting night for the students and it offers them an opportunity to meet their teacher prior to the first day of school.

Parents and students are also invited to our annual ice cream social in the newly remodeled multi-purpose room. Thank you to our PTO for hosting this event!

Curriculum Night will take place Wednesday, August 26. During this event you will have an opportunity to learn more about the curriculum materials used in the classroom as well as homework expectations, classroom management, and daily schedules. Curriculum Night is a parent-only event. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
