Principal's Message

Dear Waggoner Families,

Welcome to our final school newsletter for the 2007/2008 school year. Where has the year gone? I would like to express my appreciation to all of you for what you do to make what we do successful for kids. Our partnership is key to our childrens’ success. Thank you for making this another great year!

Even though the year is drawing to a close, we still have much going on such as the Volunteer Tea, the Yearbook Signing Party, and the Fifth Grade Party. We also have the opportunity to watch our students show off their talents on two different occasions. The Waggoner Choir performs on the evening of May 8 and the Fifth Graders will say goodbye with a music performance on the evening of May 15. Please review your school calendar or teacher newsletters for dates and times.

Teacher Appreciation Week is now! We have a very talented group of teachers who are extremely passionate and dedicated to give their best each and every day. I encourage you and your child to acknowledge them by saying thank you. I am sure that we all agree Waggoner is a great school because of them.

As I conclude, I want to say thank you to our outgoing PTO co- president, Sheri Merkel, our vice president, Monica McNeil, and our secretary, Carol Krupinsky. Leaving as well are Trustees, Jill Cohen, Peg Consoer, Doreen Garlid, Kathy Hull, Stacy Weber, and Gail Paredes-Ewen. Gail will stay with us as vice president next year. We want to thank all of these ladies for their years of service and their dedication to our teachers and students.

I look forward to a great month of May. Thanks again for all that you do. Have a safe and relaxing summer and we will see most of you back here during the hot days of August.
