About Mrs. Lassen
I've been a resident of Arizona for over 40 years. Teaching has been my pleasure for 20 years. I'm married and have 3 children. This is my 12th year at Waggoner. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy reading, running, working out, and venturing to the beach and mountains several times a year.
My 3rd grade class focuses on inquiry learning and solving problems in a variety of ways.
Our Class
We are 24 enthusiastic learners. Reading, math, writing, spelling, social studies, science,
and health
are our focus. We love starting our day doing our language and math
warm-ups. Many include songs, chants, and movements to help our
brains connect and focus for the day. Our grade level is part of KTTP
(Kyrene Teaches through Technology Program) this year and we are
privileged to have 5 lap tops within the classroom for student use.
We use the lap tops along with a projector and document camera to demonstrate and practice
concepts, work through problems, and display projects created in various
software programs. Our 3rd grade class focuses on inquiry learning
and solving problems in a variety of ways.

Homework
Math homework is assigned
on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Reading/ Language Arts homework is
assigned on Wednesdays. Homework is due the next day unless
otherwise indicated on students' homework calendar.
