Our Class

     Our class has twenty-one energetic students.  The boys and girls enjoy reading stories in many different genres.  Fantasy and realistic fiction seem to be our favorite thus far!  The children also enjoy writing stories.  It's fascinating to read all the fabulous ideas the students share through their writing.  Math is another favorite subject.  We love pairing our learning with technology projects.  Art is far and wide the ultimate in our class.  Everyone delights in the opportunity to combine drawing with reading, writing, math, or whatever subject they can.  We are very fortunate to have such wonderful second grade talent at our school!

Homework

Each child will receive a homework contract every Monday which should be returned on Friday.  Each contract explains the week's assignments in reading, writing, and math.  Also included in each week's packet is a newsletter for parents that describes the week's happenings and upcoming events and projects.
