  Everlasting Black
(A Metaphor Poem)
by Sonia M.

Black is a lonely, flowing funeral dress that brings only sadness to innocent
families......

It is the color that is as ripe and murky as a mouth-watering
Blackberry.....

Black is the swarming heat of a ghastly fire, swiftly burning out
Mother Nature's beauty....

It is a protective as a vulture's mesmerizing cry, but as soft and delicate as a hummingbird's glistening wings.....

Black is a wolf's desperate cry to the vivid  twilight, grieving for its lifeless
world......

Homework
(A Simile Poem)
by Kellie S.

Homework is like a hurricane disaster.

My assignments swirl
around my head
like a funnel cloud.

Worksheets flood me with frustration.

I'm suffocating
and exhausted.

Too much homework is overwhelming and...

Like a vacuum cleaner,
it sucks the fun out of my day!

Crying
by Priya M.

Casting away little rain drops
Running down your soft cheek
Yet I feel little pain
I want to scream, I want to kick
Nothing can cure this feeling I   have inside
Getting drained from inside out
