No Excuses!

Dear Parents,

Every morning we start our day with a loud and thunderous, “We are Ninos School! We are college bound!” The student motto can be heard throughout the building and maybe even in the neighborhood. It’s a great way to start our day! We want all of our students to begin thinking and believing about being college bound.

 Our staff believes that college readiness begins at the elementary school and not at high school. Therefore, our entire staff is working hard to ensure that we do “whatever it takes” to provide every student the opportunity to be educated in a way that prepares them for college.

 We believe that all students can learn and it is OUR job to make this happen!

We are committed to creating a school that knows no limits to the academic success of each student. We want our school to be known as an exemplary school where every student, without exception and without excuse, will be proficient or advanced in reading, language arts and math due to the collaborative efforts of our staff and families! Yes, we need your help and support. You can support our efforts by asking the questions contained within our school’s TAKE 5!

Our students are excited about the universities and colleges that their classrooms have adopted.  College/University flags are hanging in the school hallways. Our office and library are proudly displaying college/university pennants. Fridays are known as college/university apparel day. We hope to soon add another day of symbolism, College Ready Day T-Shirt on Mondays. All of this symbolism provides students with daily messages that what they are learning today does have a connection to where they are heading – COLLEGE!
