The Kyrene Monte Vista Site Council, sometimes called the Site-Based Council or the Community Council, includes school administrators and staff, parents and members of the community.
The group meets on a regular basis to discuss issues directly related to Kyrene Monte Vista Elementary School. More specifically, the Site Council:
Works to chart a vision, mission and school philosophy
Considers issues important to teachers, parents and the community at large
Serves in an advisory capacity to the principal
Reviews school goals and annual plans
Promotes positive public relations for the school
Determines the use of tax credit donations
