  • Kyrene Monte Vista Elementary School is located at 15221 S. Ray Road in southeastern Phoenix, AZ., in the heart of the city's Ahwatukee-Foothills area.

    Our principal, Dr. Georgia Shimkus, keeps things running smoothly and efficiently. You can check out her philosophy, beliefs and goals by reading her special Principal's Message.

    The school, home to about 550 students, faculty, administrators and support staff, is part of the Kyrene School District, No. 28, headquartered in nearby Tempe, AZ.

    Kyrene Monte Vista Elementary School includes classes from kindergarten through fifth grade. The scholastic year generally runs from August through May and is divided into fall and spring semesters.

    To report a child's absence, call and leave a message on the school's Attendance Line at (480) 783-1597. The line is open 24 hours a day. Calls should be made prior to 8:45 a.m. on the day of the absence.
