grade level.
In Kindergarten, students will:

In Grade One, students
will:

explore all resources in the library including:
magazines, easy fiction books, easy chapter books, reference books, and
nonfiction books.

select books with appropriate content for their
age/ability.

demonstrate knowledge of alphabetical order in order to
locate books by the author’s last name.
·
recognize Newberry and Caldecott Award books.
·
identify fiction and nonfiction books.
·
make predictions while hearing stories, and
summarize stories afterwards.
