Snowd, the God of Snow

Written by Joseph

Snowd was the god of snow, son of Skade, god of skiing and Nijord, god of wind. He lived in his icy throne where he built new things. The ice was his light that glittered though the rooms of The Asgard, the home of the gods and goddesses rooms. When he was angry he sent mass of blizzards created by his mighty scimitar, Hather (HA-th-er). People shuttered with fear when it happened. A few time the mighty blizzard killed people. The Jotun were frightened when it happened. Few humans and Jotuns froze.

When he’s happy he sends a light, sliver shower of snow shaking the clouds. People packed snowballs and threw at each other.

Days went by and Snowd realized people were tired of snow. So he decided to make the coldest snow. He thought very cold snow would be interesting because it felt like dry ice.

So off he went to Joltunhelm, where the Jotuns, horrifying, ugly, shape-changing monsters lived. He went there because it was the coldest place he could find. And as he expected he froze. Unfortunately the ice was strong with the mixture of heavy ice and snow so he couldn’t break it alone. He never expected the ice to be so strong.

The Aesir, the gods came but no wonder what they he couldn’t broke free of the ice. Finally they decided that Thor, god of thunder, will try to break it with his hammer, The Mjolnir, but they gave Thor a warning. They said to him lightly and things like that. Then “BAM!” it finally broke! But because he stayed to long he turned in to half ice, half snow. Icicles hung on the other half of the god’s beard. He looked very ancient.

He didn’t care though because he was free. So he and the Aesir celebrated.

Unfortunately, the celebration didn't last long because Loki, the god of Jotums was jealous and decided to murder Snowd. Snowd, the intelligent god took a while to find out. But it was too late Loki already made his weapons. Snowd swiftly ran away looking for cover. Loki struggled to find Snowd. Loki did not know where Snowd was. Snowd was in his mother’s home. For 53 days and night he stayed there. Until one morning Loki found him, but Loki, that clever fellow transformed into a big, evil Joltum, took his weapons and charged through the door. Loki, the Joltun, said “GRRRRRRRRRRRR”

Snowd knew it was him and with great agility blindfolded him.

Loki screamed an ear-splitting sound. Snowd at that time ran away somewhere. Somewhere where no one will ever see him again. Not even the master of the Aesir god, Odin. Even through his mighty chair that can see all, the Lidskjalf.

But Snowd was hiding in a floating land he dug out. In was about 3 feet around. He stayed there for a while. Finally he gave up he made and icy track to Midgard, the earth. He hovered over the flaming rainbow bridge guarding Asgard. He pasted Heimdall, the watchman of Asgard. He gloomily went to his room and did the usual thing he does. But he was still Loki's target.
