Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH Unit

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH is a wonderful fantasy that tells of a strong friendship between a mouse family and a band of highly intelligent rats. This novel, written by Robert C. O'Brien, illuminates the themes of friendship, courage, cooperation, and survival. 

Students in Mrs. Sunda's fourth and fifth grade class have created a literature unit based on this powerful story. Each section contains discussion questions which call for critical thinking, as well as a vocabulary list, and other activities such as a wordsearch or story quiz.
